Screwdriver……………….

I was travelling in local train in second class compartment. Group of 5/6 people were targeting a guy; they said tera screw dhila hai thight karna padega.

It made me smile with myself; I just wondered what word dhila screw denotes?

A person with low intellect, lack of maturity is generally term dhila screw .The group got down at Dockyard  road station and what come to my mind  may not be relevant but thought let me share with you……for information .

Archimedes is considered to have invented the screw in the third century B.C.  though, his invention was designed to transfer motion rather than to fasten.

Metal screws and nuts seem to have been used as fasteners in the fifteenth century.

Woodworkers were using hand screwdrivers in the early 1800s, and they became more common after 1850, when machines made the automatic production of screws possible.

Later, the uses for screws and screwdrivers expanded to the area of machinery and furniture construction.

As the design of the screw itself became more refined and more useful, screwdrivers become a common and necessary tool.

There are perhaps thirty different types of screwdrivers available today in a variety of sizes, all with different purposes and all designed to fit into special screws.

In the early 1900s, a new form of the socket screw that featured a cruciform shape was invented and patented by Henry F. Phillips. His creation resulted in the birth of the classic Phillips screw and its corresponding Phillips screwdriver.

Screwdrivers are distinguished from each other based on their tip.The oldest and most common type of screwdriver is the slotted screwdriver, which fits a screw with a single slot in the head of screw with drive.

The tip of the screwdriver should completely fill the slot of the screw you’re driving or removing.

If the tip is too narrow, there will be considerable loss of leverage while driving, which means you’ll have to use more muscle to drive the screw.  Also, you risk stripping the screw and bending the tip of your screwdriver.

If the tip is too wide, you risk damaging the surface you’re screwing into.

If the tip is too thick, the blade won’t fit in the screw slot and will just slip out as you’re driving. 

There are cordless Screwdrivers & are more efficient than the manual screwdrivers.

And have several advantages over their corded counterparts.

Perhaps the most obvious advantage of cordless screwdrivers is their portability. 

They spare the user’s wrist & eliminate some of the fatigue that is associated with driving every screw by hand.

Another advantage is flexibility as they can be used in a number of different position & situations.

The biggest mistake people make when using a screwdriver is using the wrong kind for the job.

I am not a technical person per see still I shared with you about Screwdrivers.

Word of caution, few corrupt minded people have used the Screwdrivers to break open the houses, also as instrument to kill a person out of one’s frustration.

Do not keep Screwdrivers in open place & within the reach of negative bias persons. It is a double edge sword.

Lakshmipujan. Worship of Goddess Lakshmi

I use the word Wealth for Money. Virtually Money is a medium through which wealth is created. Money can give you all that you want. You can purchase almost everything in life baring few with the power of money. You cannot purchase love, compassion, character, inner peace, freedom, spiritual experiences. It reminds me of college days having learned the definition of Money in Economics as ‘Money is what Money does… ‘

Man without money is zero. To be rich is your Fundamental right. All the religions, spiritual masters they love to condemn money. They say money is bad, money is evil and money is cause of sorrow. But, fact of life is, if money is circulating freely in your life you are financially, economically, monetary healthy.

Today is the most auspicious day of Dipavali i.e. Lakshmipujan. This falls on Amavasya a dark night. Lamps, lights, Oil lamps are lit in the evening to welcome, receive the goddess Lakshmi. The goddess Lakshmi likes cleanliness, she enters those houses which are cleanliest first i.e. is the reason by tradition everyone keeps their house clean to receive her grace. Each time lord Vishnu has descends to mother Earth she accompanied him. She is the embodiment of Beauty, strength, dignity, glory, wealth, graciousness & prosperity.

You are here to live balance life. All the comforts, desires, wants and all troubles can be managed with the power of money.  If you condemn money, if you say money is evil how can you prosper, how can you be wealthy?

Before invention of money horse was exchange for cow, milk was exchange for rice. Barter system existed prior to emergence of Money. Money is a medium of exchange. Money is now in different Currencies. Currencies called Dollar, Rupee, GBP, Yen, and Euro. All the Currencies are traded in exchange market as commodities. Currencies may differ but usage of money does not change.

Money gives you comfort. Money gives you security. Money has its own mechanism. One man’s expenditure is another man’s income. Other man’s income is another man’s expenditure. This goes on and goes on. Velocity of money creates more money. Old proverb is Money Saved is Money Earned. In a way it is true through saving Capital is created. Capital is required for wealth creation.

Money creates wealth. With emergence of money man has made lot of progress. Man has built factories, created jobs, and developed all sorts of richness. Without money existence becomes difficult & life becomes anguish. 

I repeat Money is not bad. Money is not God. Money is symbol of Prosperity, Wealth, and Richness. Money is not your sole aim. Money is not everything. It is a means to create financial prosperity. There is no virtue in Poverty. Wealth is distributed there is equitable distribution of Wealth and not of Poverty. Everyone admires to inherit prosperity, Wealth and not Poverty.

Unless person is talented genius he cannot create wealth for self and others. Richness is multi dimensional. Richness is not counted how much money you hoard in bank balances.

Eastern philosophy talks about renunciation of everything you had to reach ultimate truth. Only affluent can renounce. Poor person has nothing to renounce. Renunciation is for those who have collected all experiences in life. Poor has not lived the life with full glory. What he has to renounce?

All the religions Gurus, self proclaimed Masters hammer on their disciples that money is bad. Money is stumbling block in pursuit of spiritual well being. This is totally wrong and negative interpretation of scriptures. There is no virtue in Poverty.Tell me what way Poverty brings Enlightenment.

Jesus said that a Camel can pass through the eye of a needle but Rich man cannot pass through the gate of Heaven. It is reminder to those who earned money and created wealth through exploiting, sucking the blood of the people & corrupt means. The sick mind says all those who are rich, wealthy must have committed crime to earn richness.

Now a days, globally financial markets are very alert about source of money coming in to banking system There is Anti Money Laundering Act passed by almost all the countries. Money acquired and used for Extortion, Terrorist activity Drug Trafficking is Dirty Money. Banking system should not allow laundering & washing of this dirty money. This is at macro level but at micro level one can earn as much money he desires and to his Capacity by fair means. It is your right. But it comes with rider/certain ethics & dignity.

Sixteenth Century Marathi Saint Tukaram संत तुकाराम has said in his Abhanga अभंग that   earn money with rightful/good deeds/dignity.

Message of Lakshmipujan is loud& clear,even at darkest situations in life inner light should guide me & ignorance should vanish.
Not only keeping the house clean on this auspicious day but all my acts and dealings shall be clean.
This is the prayer we are offering to the Goddess Lakshimi. 

We are here to grow prosper, and unfold spiritually & mentally & materially.
Let this Lakshimipuja leads us to this path.

आठवणीतली दिवाळी....

जमाना बदलला, आपले विचार बदललेत,जुने ते सगळे सोडायचे,
नवीन गोष्ठी स्वीकाराच्या आजच्या जमान्यात दिवाळीचा सण,
उत्सव बदलून राहिला आहे,कात टाकतो आहे.


आकाश कंदील लावत होतो आणि एकदम आठवणीची कॅसेट पळायला लागली,
दिवाळीची  सुट्टी एकवीस दिवस असायची.सहामाही परीक्षेचा
निकाल  पोस्टाने घरी यायचा,त्या साठी पोस्टमनची रोज वाट पाहायची, आजूबाजूचे शेजारीची मुले  पण पोस्टमनची वाट पाहायची,ती मजावेगळीच.

झुकू झुकू अगीन गाडी, धूरांचा रेषा हवेत गाडी मामाच्या गावाला जाऊ या......
दिवाळीच्या सुटीत मामाकडे राहायला जाण्याची मजा औरच  असायची.एखादा सिनेमा
मामाकडे वाहायचाच पुन्हा मामाची मुले परत आपल्या घरी राह्यला यायची,
गंमत असाचची.आज कोणी कोणाकडे राह्यला जात नाही.

आकाश कंदिल बनवण खुप मजा यायची बांबूची काठी तासून शेपटीअसलेला पारंपरिक
आकाश कंदिल बनवण्यातली मजा वेगळीच, कोणी चांदणी बनवायाचे,तर कोणी फिरता
आकाश कंदिल,तर कोणी उत्साही रात्री पतंगबरोबर  कंदिल आकाशात सोडत.दारात
पणत्या  लावल्या जात, पणतीचे दिवे लावले जायचे,माळा  पण लावत.

प्रत्येकघरी साफसफाई व्हायची,दिवाळीची साफसफाई वेगळीच काही जण घराला
रंगरंगोटी करत, उत्साह काही वेगळच असे.लहानमुले विचारत दिवाळी कुठेपर्यंत आली ?
तेव्हा मोठी माणसे सांगत दिवाळी स्टेशन पर्यंत आली,नाक्यापर्यंत आली....
परवा आपल्या घरी येईल !

दारात ठीबक्यानची किवा एखादा सीन रांगोळीत काढला जात असे. दिवाळीत  बराच
ठिकाणी सुंदर अशी रांगोळीची प्रदर्शन भरत.आज सगळे खुप कमी झाले आहे,कमी नाही,
तर नाही असेच  होत आहे,

मला आठवते,दिवाळीतले फटके उंन्हात वाळवायचे,का तर नळे,चंद्राजोय्ती  लवंगी
माळ चांगले वाजवेत आणि सकाळी शेजारच्या घरातून पहिला फटका वाजायच्या
आधी आपला वाजला पाहिजे हि चढाओढ असायची.

दिवाळीला नवीन कपडे ,नवीन वस्तूची  खरेदी वाहायची.सगळी कडे उत्साह असे.
मला आठवते.माझी आजी सकाळी रेडीओवर नरकासुर वधाचे कीर्तन एकेत असे.
वातावरण मंगलदायी असायचे.

सकाळी लवकर उठून  उटणे ,सुवासिक तेलाने आंघोळ , नवीन कपडे ,मग सर्वानी
मिळून देवळात जायचे.घरी परत आल्यावरफराळ करायचा चकली,शेव,चिवडा, लाडू,
शंकरपाळे, चिरोटे,अनारसे असा पारंपारिक फराळ.आपला घरी केलेला फराळ शेजारच्या
घरी वाटायचा,आपल्या घरी त्यांचा फराळ यायचा.त्या सगळ्यात एक आपलेपणा,
ओलावा असायचा! आजच्या  फास्ट फूडच्या जमान्यात किती जणांना हा  फराळ आवडतो ?

सुटीत होमवोर्क दिलेला असायचा तो करू करू म्हणत,शेवट पर्यंत करायचा राहून जायचा
शेवटच्या दिवशी धावपळ  व्हायचीच ती व्हायचीच,ती मजा पण  औरच यार!

भाऊबीजेला आईचे भाऊ म्हणजे मामा मंडळी यायची .भाऊबीज भाऊबीजेला साजरी
वाहायची. आज आपण आपल्या सोयीने केव्हाही करतो चूक ते  आहे, मी म्हणत
नाही.आमचाकडे आदल्या दिवशी दुध आटवून भाऊबीजेला बासुन्दीचा बेत असायचा.
आज  सगळे जण  हेंल्थ बद्दल  जागृत,कोणाला मधुमेह ,तर कोणाच वाढीव वजन
म्हणून गोड नको असते. बाहेरहून मिठाई आणण्याकडे  कल असतो काजुकत्री ,काजुरोल!

लक्ष्मिपूजन  उत्साहात  वाहायचे, मुंबई शेयर बाजारात मुहूर्त trading  ची मजा पण वेगळी
असायची.आज नेट वर पण ते मुहूर्त trading  होते  ट्रान्सफ़रन्सी आहे पण ती मजा नाही.

आजची दिवाळी त्याचे स्वरूप बदलून गेले आहे. अनेक जण  भेट वस्तू देवून हा सण
सेटिंग साठी वापरतात,पोस्टातून पत्र बंद झाली ,पण  पोस्टमन पोस्ट मागतो.घरकाम
करणारी बाई, पेपरवाला दिवाळी मागतो.आपण ती देतो.ते सगळे अजून तसेच आहे

दिवाळी अंक खुप चांगले निघत,आवाज ,दीपावली ,वसंत ,किर्लोस्कर, ,माहेर
प्रत्येक जण विकत घेऊन वाचत ,आज सगळे बंद झाल्यात जमा आहे .म्हणून म्हणतो
दिवाळी कात टाकते आहे. आज आपण सर्वजण दिवाळी साजरी करतो असे न म्हणता
मनावतो असे म्हणणे जास्त योग्य  वाटते.

सहज आठवली एक कविता, दीपावली बद्दलची माझ्या आईने केलेली .....

आज  दिवाळी आली घर हो चला चला ! चला चला मजा करा !

दीपवालीची सुट्टी पडली शाळेची तर कटकट  मिटली !!
लवकर उठण्या आईचा हो लकडा  पाठी नसे तरी !
आज  दिवाळी....

लाडू चिवडा शेव अनरसा !चकली आणिक कानवला !
फराळ करण्या चला बसू रे आई सांगाते  आपणाला !
आज  दिवाळी! !!

तरेतऱ्हेचे  दीप लाउनी आकाश दिवा वर चढवोनी !
आनंदाने  नाचू  गाऊ प्रकाशात ह्या  दीपांच्या ! !

आज  दिवाळी आली घर हो चला चला ! चला चला मजा करा !

Asuri Sampada

A dog bits a man is not a news but opposite man bits a dag is certainly a news. It will find place in the front page of any news daily. This is the basics of journalism Nothing has changed. Sunday the last; there was a news item in the leading daily on the front page that Husband has moved an application in family court under the pretext of mental cruelty for divorce. Reason wife called him Hijra. The learned judge may grant exparte order.

Judicial system always gives decision within the frame work of law but justice is never administered, the Court cases are either decided against the accused or he will be set free. I suppose, Law has to upheld natural justice & ensure injustice to none.

To know what is happening around you, you need not be NGO or practicing in family court but if you keep your eyes and ears opened you may know the plus of the society.

In the generation bye there was a teaching wife should surrender to husband, respect him, he is like God to her. That was the reason in spite of great degree of torture wives accepted as fate accompanied.

I really appreciate & hands up to the lady to come out openly against her husband. Husband compliant that women always felt superior to him & would tell her marring to him is a mistake ,due to continuous mental torture & humiliation he could not concentrate on his work & health deteriorated.

Though there are many crimes committed by husband on wives but majority prefer to keep mum. Only the new generation has will & guts to move to the court for divorce as their married life & life partner is not compatible. This reformation is much needed in our society.

I am not per see supporter of mass divorce or multiple divorce as found in west. I have seen law of karma is also not operating to punish the torturing entity.

There are many Husbands who has following qualities ‘

1 Treat wife as subordinate, non entity in his scheme of things,

2 Treat wives as ATM machine if she is earning, never take her in confidence on financial matters.

3 Always humiliate the wife by abusing her parents, cursing them as they are the cause of all ills.

4 Doubting & suspicious about her to whom she meets, she talks finally Interrogation to the level of crime branch may not indulge.

5 With perversion sexually abusing own wives, no romance only nightmare.

6 He enjoys full freedom for drinking, socializing in parties keeping her away.

7 Creating terrorism in the house to intimidate the wife.

8 Humiliation of highest degree, where imagination of ordinary person may fall short.

9 Apart from treating ill, during her illness. This all creates fertile ground to house many psychosomatic diseases for her.

This list is not exhaustive but indicative of atrocities created against own wife by her so called beloved husband. This is not borrowed from TV serials viz Crime Petrol or Sawdhan India.

Other day I was studying 16th Chapter of Bhagwat Gita. In this chapter lord Krishna says, Oh, Arjuna there are only two type of persons one with divine qualities & another with Asuri-Demoniac qualities. But in real life it is difficult to cope with such Asuri pravrutti’s of better half. 

Last generation wives suffered as fate accompanied such atrocities, once again I salute the lady to call her husband Hijra, thief, and psychopath as the case may be.

This is not to antagonize anyone but just sharing my observation with you. With a request, just ponder over & inculcate divine qualities in you to live a matured life.

न्याय कशाला म्हणायचं …………

माझी एक मैत्रीण आहे, हुशार आहे, अभ्यासू आहे.तत्वज्ञानाचा चांगला अभ्यास आहे. पत्नजलि योग सूत्रावर प्रभुत्व आहे.ती वैराग्य विषयावर प्रबंध लिहित आहे. मला तिचे कौतुक आहे.मनात विचार आला,वैराग्य आणि अभिनिवेश या दोन गोष्ठी वेगळ्या आहेत.अभिनवेश म्हणजे जगण्याची इच्छया.पुस्तकातले वैराग्य वेगळे असत ,शांत मोकळ्या मनाने विचार करत होतो,  तेव्हा जे मनाला स्पर्शून गेले ते सांगतो. 

आमच्या कडे पेपर टाकायला एक मल्याळी माणूस येत असे.साधा सज्जन माणूस होता.
दहा बारा वर्ष पेपर टाकत असे.एक दिवस दुसराच माणूस पेपर टाकत होता.मी सहज विचारले नायनार कुठे गेला.तो म्हणाला ,'गाव गया था वहा गुजर गये'.मला धक्काच बसला.त्याची चवथीत शिकणारी मुलगी एकेकी अनाथ झाली. हातवर पोट असणारी कितीतरी जीव नियतीचा आघात सहन करत केविलवाणे जीवन जगात असतात.

आपणास जरासा ताप आला, खोकला झाला कि आपण डॉक्टरकडे जातो, रक्त तपासतो.अधिक काही असेल तर एक्सरे,सोनोग्राफी ,कार्डोओग्रम काढतो.परवाच बातमी कानावर आली, आमचे एक नातेवायिक वय साधारण पन्नास हृदय विकाराने गेले.कोकणात काहीसा व्यवसाय होता.त्याला एक शाळेत शिकणारा मुलगा आहे.त्याच्या एकाकी झालेल्या एक्झिट मुळे सारेच बदलून गेले,होत्याचे नव्हते झाले.त्याला हृदय विकारा होता, कधी तपासणीच झाली नाही, फक्त कष्ट एवढच जीवन होते.

अश्या गोष्टी कानावर पडल्याकी क्षणभर स्मशान वैराग्य येते.आपण नियती भोग असे म्हणतो आणि सोडून देतो. आपण नेहमी जीवनातल्या सु:ख-दु:खाला पूर्व कर्म, नशीब ,प्रारब्ध यात बसवतो.बुद्ध  सांगतो  सर्वंमं दुक्खम, सर्वंमं क्षणीकमं,दुःखाच कारण जाणलंत तर दुःख मुक्तीचा मार्गाच हातात येईल.बुध्द दुःख निरोध म्हणतो. निवृत्तीचा, निर्वाणाचा मार्ग हे काही उत्तर असू शकत नाही.

नेहमी चांगले वागावे, चांगले वागले कि त्याचे फळ चांगलेच मिळते.पण व्यवहारात नेमके उलटे पहावयास सापडते. बोलायला तत्वज्ञान सोपे वाटते.असो, कृष्ण सांगतो फळाची अपेक्षा न धरता आपले कर्म करा सुखी व्हाल.कर्म चांगल वाईट महत्वाचे नाही निष्काम असावे.

उत्तम नावाचे आमचे एक जवळचे नाते संबंधी होते.वय वर्ष बहात्तर ,परवाच वारले असे समजले. गेलेल्या माणसाबद्दल वाइट बोलू नये असा एक संकेत आहे. उत्तमच्या मृत्यूची बातमी ऐकली आणि जणू चाळीसपंचे चाळीस वर्षाचा काळ,चलत चित्रपट डोळ्यासमोर आला.उत्तमला पन्नास वर्षापूर्वी एक मुलगा झाला. उत्तमची बायको दोन वर्षात वारली.मुलगा पोरका झाला.उल्लाहास त्याचे नाव ,आठवीत असे पर्यंत म्हातारे आजी आजोबांनी कसाबसा सांभाळ केला.उत्तमने दुसरे लग्न केले.त्याला दोन मुले झाली.जन्म दाता उल्लाहासला सावत्र मुलगा मानु लागला.

त्याने वडील म्हणून पहिल्या मुलाची जबाबदारी घेतली नाही. उल्लास पोरका नाही बेवारशी झाला.वडील सरकारी अधिकारी पण काडीची मदत नाही.त्याला वार्यावर सोडले, शेवटी मामानी शिक्षण केले.कोणाच्या खाद्यावर कोणाचे ओझे.उल्लास ईन्जीनियर झाला, आज तो व्यवहारिक सुखी आहे, पण बापाने शेवटपर्यंत त्याला जवळ केले नाही,दूर ठेवले असा कसा सावत्र बाप असू शकतो?

उत्तमचे आयुष्य खूप सुखात गेले.नंतरची दोन मुले, एक अमेरीकेत, दुसरा डॉक्टर.उत्तम निरोगी संपन्न आयुष्य्य जगला,डॉक्टर मुलाने मंत्राग्नी दिला.त्याच्या मातीला मी हजर नव्हतो, मनात विचार येतो,कधी कधी वाटते निष्ठुर वागणाऱ्या माणसाला नियती माफ का करते? याला तुम्ही कर्मयोग म्हणा, वैराय्ग म्हणा,पूर्व पुण्याई म्हणा,पण माझ्या दृष्टीने हा आपमतलबी,बेजबाबदार स्वार्थच होता ! 

माझ्या वडिलांनी उत्तमला खूप समजावलेले मी जवळून पहिले होते.पण उपड्या घडावर पाणी अशी गत होती. म्हणूनच संस्काराचे ओझे फेकून देऊन मी उत्तमचा आज एकेरी उल्लेख करून नियतीवर सूड उगवण्याच समाधान शोधले.

अरे हो ,ह्या शरीराला चिकटून राहण्याची ,जगण्याची इच्छया म्हणजेच अभिनवेश  !

पूजा आणि ध्यान ....

रामकृष्ण दक्षिणेश्वेराच्यामंदिरात काही काळ  पुजारी होते. त्यांची  नेमणूक जिने केली होती ती राणी रासमस्ती ,श्रीमंत होती,राणी होती,पण दलित होती , हरिजन होती.त्यामुळे त्या वेळच्या प्रथेनुसार कोणी पुजारी पूजा करण्यास तयार नव्हता.अगदी क्रिया कर्म करणारा ब्राह्मण सुद्धा तयार नव्हता.रामकृष्ण यांची मंदिरात पुजारी म्हणून नेमणूक झाली. ते इतर पुजार्यांनपेक्षा वेगळे होते. निराळे होते.

रामकृष्णानची पूजा कधी दिवसभर चाले तर कधी ती अर्ध्या तासात उरकून जात.पूजा करताना ते कुठेतरी हरवून जात.कधी दृष्टी एकीकडे तर  चित्त आणखीन कुठे तरी असे.हा माणूस वेडसर वाटे,आता दुसरा पुजारी मिळत नाही तेव्हा चालवून घेणे भाग .कधी कधी ते स्वतच तीन चार दिवस गायब असत.कधी चार चार दिवस पूजेचे नावच नसे . कधी पूजेबरोबर वाजणारी घणटा रात्रभर वाजत राही. कधी कधी  दिवसभर घणटा वाजताच नसे.कधी हातात घणटा घेऊन नाचत नाचत पूजा करत.

ते कोणतेही पूजेचे नियम पाळत नसत.शेवटी विश्वस्थाना राहवले नाही त्यांनी विचारले,हा काय प्रकार आहे. तेव्हा रामकृष्णाननी  करुणेने  पाहिले आणि न बोलताच बोलून गेले,"पूजा थोडीच नियमानुस्रार होते,पूजा थोडाच कर्मकांड आहे.पूजा म्हणजे प्रेम आणि प्रेम थोडेच नियमानुसार होते.प्रेम हे वार्याच्या  झुळूके सारख आहे , झुळूक ती  केव्हा येते ते सांगता येते आणि आलीच तर पकडून थोडीच  ठेवता  येते"

रामकृष्णानची पूजा घड्याळाप्रमाणे  नव्हती, घड्याळाप्रमाणे पूजा करतो तो  धन्देवायिक पुजारी, रामकृष्णानची पूजा हृदययाप्रमाणे  होती.कधी कधी पूजा करताना ढसाढसा रडून पूजा करत, भावविवश होत.मला वाटते, असा दुसरा पुजारी होणे नाही. पतंजली समाधी पादात  ईश्वरप्रनिधानानीद्वा! द्वा म्हणजे ईश्वरप्रनिधानाने सुद्धा समाधीचा अनुभव येऊ शकतो असे म्हणतात याचे रामकृष्ण हेच योग्य उदाहरण होय.

ध्यानाचेही  तसेच आहे.ध्यानाची अमुक  एक अशी पद्धत असू शकत नाही.ध्यान  किती वेळ करता
ते महत्वाचे नाही. रामकृष्णानच्या  पूजेसारखे आहे. ध्यान कधी तास भर ,कधी अर्धा तास, कधी दहा मिनिटे,तर कधी क्षणभर. ध्यान म्हणजे प्रेम,अस्तित्वाप्रती असलेले प्रेम, वारर्र्याच्ची झुळूक,प्रेमाची झुळूक जेव्हा येते, तेव्हा ध्यान होत.

ध्यान म्हणजे  पळापळ  नाही,ध्यान म्हणजे पाठलाग नाही,

ध्यान म्हणजे स्थब्ध् बसणे नाही,ध्यान म्हणजे अट्टाहास नाही,

तोंड बंद करून  मूक होणे  नाही,ध्यान म्हणजे चिकटून बसणे नाही,

ध्यान म्हणजे  अभ्यासक्रम नाही,ध्यान म्हणजे नियमावली नाही,

ध्यान म्हणजे वारर्र्याच्ची झुळूक, पकडून थोडीच ठेवता येते,

तुम्ही सहजतेने,मोकळेपणाने, मनावरची सगळी बंधने सईल करून,
अपेक्षा न ठेवता बसा.

विच्रांरापासूनच अंतर वाढवा, जसे  तुम्ही विचारापासून दूर जाल,ध्यान सुरु होऊन जाइल.

ध्यान पकडून  थोडच ठेवता येते.ध्यान करावे लागत नाही ते होऊन जाते.

श्रध्येय विमलाजी ठकार , सांगावेसे वाटले म्हणून......

दादा मुंडले नावाचे एक ऋषितुल्य व्यक्तिमत्व होते.दादांचे माझावर खूप प्रेम होते ,विश्वास होता. मला ते आदरणीय होते.चेंबूरमध्ये राहत होते.गोधरा पासून सुरवात झालेली गुजरातमधली दंगल नुकतीच शमली होती.दादांनी ठरवले डिसेंबर मध्ये माउंटअबू विमला ठकार यांना भेटायला जायचे.दादांनीच पत्रव्यवहार केला. विमलाबाईनकडून होकाराचे पत्र आले. दादा मुंडले,मिसेस मुंडले, गोपाल देशपांडे आणि मी अशी मोजकीच माणसे होती.प्रकृती आणि वय यामुळे विमलाजी  जास्त कोणाशी भेटत नसत.

माउंटअबूला आम्ही जवळच हॉटेल बुक केले होते, त्यामुळे विमलाजीना भेटणे सोपे जाणार होते.
विमलाजीनी आम्हाला प्रथम भेटीसजवळ जवळ चाळीस मिनटे दिली.नंतर पुन्हा दुसरे दिवशी अर्धा तास,बस तेवढीच भेट ! 

विमलाजीनची छोटीशी मूर्ती, पांढरी खादीची साडी, स्थूल लोभस पवित्र ,व्यक्तिमत्व आजही मनात घर करून आहे.Spiritual vibrations’ म्हणून जर काही असतील तर तेंव्हा ती मी अनुभवली.आजही विमलाजीनची प्रथम भेटीतला सहवास आठवला की शरीरात विदूतलहर गेली असे वाटते,अंगावर रोमांच उभे राहते, चेहऱ्यावर रक्त प्रवाह वाढला आहे अशी वेगळीच स्थिती होते. 

बोलताना दादा मुंडलेनी विमलाबाई बालपणी ११ तास ध्यानावस्थेत होट्या तो विषय काढला. विमलाजीनी डॉ.सर्वपल्ली राधकृष्णांन यांचा ऊलेख केला, आपल्याला प्रेसिडेन्टची दुसरी टर्म मिळावी यासाठी खूप प्रयत्नशील होते, मोह एवढ्या मोठ्या विद्वानाला सुध्हा चुकला नाही.

विषय बदलायच्या ओघात मी म्हणून गेलो ‘आत्मसाक्षात्कार म्हणतात त्यासाठी मी जर मनाला समजावले, तर ते पुरेसे नाही का? मला कधी कधी वाटते मी आयुष्याती महत्वाची वर्ष अध्यात्माच्या नावाखाली फुकट तर घालवत नाहीं ना.” 

विमलाजीनी मला ताबडतोब सांगितले, ‘ती मनाच्या पलीकडली अवस्था आहे .
बेटा, तुला असे वाटते वेळ फुकट जातो तर, वेळ फुकट नको घालवू नकोस,हे सगळे सोडून दे ‘.

रूम वर आल्यावर माझ्या मूर्खपणाचा राग आला.विमलाजीनी झेन धक्का तंत्र वापरले होते.मी काही चूक करत नाही, मी ज्या मार्गावेर आहे तो योग्यच आहे, याची समज आली. या गोष्टीला १५/१६ वर्ष झाली आणि आता मी जे सांगतो ते पण ५ वर्ष जुने, 

पहाटे चार वाजता ध्यानाला बसलो होतो.साधारण पस्तीस मिनटे झाली, ध्यान खूप छान झाले. चहा घेताना माझ्या बायकोला  मी म्हंटले, बरेच दिवसानी ध्यान खूप छान झाले, विमलाबाई ठकार सुध्हा ध्यान करताना बरोबर होत्या.

एक महिना होऊन गेला. विजय तेरवणकर म्हणाला ‘सर तुम्ही नेहमी विमला ठकारांचा उल्लेख करता, एक लेख आला तुम्ही वाचलात का?’ विमलाजी गेल्या ही बातमी मी वाचली नह्वती. विमलाजी गेल्या ही बातमी माझ्या वाचनातून सुटून गेली.घरी आल्यावर मी बायकोला सांगितले विमला ठकार गेल्या, मला माहित नव्हत.

माझी पत्नी म्हणाली ध्यानाला बसला होता तो दिवस आठवा .स्मृती जरा मागे नेली, लक्षात आले तो दिवस ११ मार्च,होळी पौर्णिमा होती.विमलाजी गेल्या ११ मार्च २००९ म्हणजे दोन्ही दिवस एकच होते.ध्यानाला बसलो असता विमलानशी कुठेतरी कनेक्ट झालो, कनेक्शन लागले, आपण जात असल्याचा संदेश बहुदा त्यांनी दिला असावा पण तो मला समजला नाही.योगायोग म्हणावे का
माहित नाही .एकमात्र झाले विमलजीना श्रध्येय का म्हणतात ते मला नव्याने समजले.

विमलाजीनी फारच सुरेख पद्धतीने, किती सोप्या शब्दात “जगावेगळे अध्यात्म “ सांगत.

आधार, आश्रय नव्हे,

आज,आता आणि ईथे महत्वाचे.

अध्यात्मात प्रगती करायची तर मी माझे मला ही 'म' ची बाराखडी विसरायला हवी.

जीवनात समग्रतेने रहा, जे करता,ते करताना अवधान असू द्या,आयाम महत्वाचा आहे.  

गती मध्ये शक्ती असते,त्या पेक्षा स्थिरतेत अधिक शक्ती असते,

शब्दात जेवढ सामर्थ्य आहे, त्यापेक्षा अधिक मौना मध्ये सामर्थ्य आहे.

साधनाही काही मिळवण्यासाठी नाही तर्,

शुद्धीकरणासाठी असते, purification of body, mind, perception.
                      
संतांच्या मांदियाळीत फिट बसणारी,

जे.कृष्णमूर्ती आणि विनोबाशी जवळीक असणारी,

श्री. नरेंद्र मोदी, कुंडली काय सांगते..

श्री. नरेंद्र दामोदर मोदी,यांचा गजर सर्वत्र सुरु आहे.

'अपकी बार मोदी सरकार'  हे गोष वाक्य सर्वांच्या  मनात रुजले आहे.

अनेकांच्या मनात  संदेह आहे, खरचं मोदी पंतप्रधान होणार का? 

अनेक ज्योतिषी सांगतात  हो मोदी पंतप्रधान होणार, कस असत वाजली तर पुंगी.

काही ज्योतिषी आपल्या विचारसरणी नुसार भविष्य सांगतात,मनात असते मोदी पंतप्रधान होऊ  नये.मग, सांगतात मोदी पंतप्रधान होणार नाहीत.

मी काही  मोठ्ठा ज्योतिषी नाही,  तसेच  कुडमुड्या ज्योतिषीही नाही एवढे मात्र खरे.भविष्य  कथनात अंदाज चुकू शकतात.कारण यात मेदनिय ज्योतिष, निवडणूक प्रक्रिया,वक्तीगत कुंडली, चलीतातले ग्रह, अनेक अंग आहेत.तरीही कुतूहल असते. अर्थात निवडणूक निकाल जाहीर झाले कि सगळेच बदलेल.

मी आपल्या पुढे मोदींची जन्म लग्नकुंडली , वास्तविक प्रमुख ग्रह, महादशा क्रम,  व्यक्तीची देहबोली, तेजोवलय, विचार  संक्रमण याचा सर्व बाजूने विचार करून  पुस्तकी नाही.पण सुटसुटीत शब्दात मांडतो.

वृश्चिक  लग्न आणि  वृश्चिक रास, लग्नी मंगळ आणि चंद्र. वृश्चिक लग्न ०१:१५;२२ अंश त्यामूळे तुला लग्नाचा सुद्धा प्रभाव आहे.

गुरु ३१/०५/२०१३ पासून मिथुन राशीत म्हणजे अष्टमात आहे ,तरीही याच  काळखंडात पंतप्रधान पदाचे उमेदवार म्हणून नाव जाहीर झाले. पक्षातले सहकारी यांना मोदी स्वीकारावे लागले,इतर राजकीय विरोधक प्रभाव हरून बसले. सध्या शनि आणि  राहू तूळ मध्ये गेले वर्षभर आहेत.राहू कन्येत १३/०७/२०१४ ला येतो आहे  म्हणून काळजीचे कारण मला दिसत नाही.

गुरु   १७/०९/२०१४ पासून कर्क  राशीत येतो.म्हणून काही  ज्योतिषी   शंका व्यक्त करतात की मोदीना गुरुबळ नाही ते बरोबर वाटत नाही.

एक  वेगळी शक्ती मोदीच्या मागे आहे.कुंडलिनी शक्ती क्रियावती झाली की त्याचा प्रभाव इतरांवरही पडतो.

शहाणपण !!!

एका लहानश्या गावात एक साधा सरळ माणूस रहात होता. साधा होता, सरळ होता, भोळसट होता.त्याचा हा भोळसटपणा, साधेपणा पराकोटीचा होता. त्या भोळसटपणातून काहीतरी बोलून जायचा, लोक त्याची टेर घायची, टिंगल करायचे, आणि मग तो मूर्ख ठरे .

सगळे गाव त्याची मूर्ख म्हणून सतत टींगल करायचे. तुला काही कळत नाही, तू येडा आहेस, तोंड उघडले काही बोलला की टिंगल, हेटाळणी. सतत टेनशॅन मध्ये असायचा. याचा एकत्रित परिणाम तो भित्रा बनला, कॉंप्लेक्स निर्माण झाला.आयुष्य त्रासदायक झाले.

त्यालाही त्याच्या मूर्खपणाचा कंटाळा आला होता.गावात एक हुशार, बुद्धीवान, धूर्तमाणूस होता.तो त्याला भेटला, आपली लोक कशी मजा उडवतात,मूर्ख बनवतात हे सांगितले.आता मी काय करू काहीच  पर्याय दिसत नाही  असे सांगितले.

त्या हुशार माणसाने त्याला सल्ला दिला ,कोण म्हणतो तू मूर्ख आहेस, येडा आहेस, तू साधा निष्पाप आहेस .लोक तूला टार्गेट करतात.आता तूच त्याना टार्गेट कर.उद्या पासून सारा आविर्भाव बदलायचा, तू स्वताला forcefully project  कर .तुझ्या बोलण्यात आक्रमकता आण,ठासून बोल खरेखोटे विचार करू नकोस.

काही नाही ,केवळ येवढच कर, जर कोणी कुणाची स्तुती करत असेल ,तर तू लगेच त्याची नालस्ती करायला लाग. कोणी म्हणाले हा माणूस सज्जन आहे, तर तू तत्काळ सांग ,नाही हो तो पक्का लफंगा आहे.

एकदी स्त्री शालीन आहे, असे कोणी म्हणाले  तर हलक्या आवाजात म्हण काय पुरावा आहे तुमच्या कडे. एखादी स्री सुंदर आहे असे जर कोणी म्हणाल तर लगेच विचार काय सुंदर आहे तिच्यात ? तीच नाक सुंदर आहे, डोळे सुंदर आहेत का , केस सुंदर आहेत, सांगा काय सुंदर आहे. सुंदरपणाची व्याख्या करता येत नाही. मला सांगा, तिच्या सुंदरपणाचा काय पुरावा आहे तुमच्याकडे?

कुणी म्हणाले हे पुस्तक चांगले आहे,तर तू तत्काळ सांग ,मी ते वाचले आहे,अभ्यास केला आहे.तू ते वाचले नाहीस याची तमा बाळगू नकोस, सरळ बेधडक सांग ते पुस्तक बेकार आहे.

कुणी म्हणाले सूर्योदय काय छान आहे .तू लगेच म्हण काय छान आहे, ह्यापेक्षा अधिक चांगला सूर्योदय मी पहिला आहे, हा तर अगदीच सामान्य आहे.

कुणी म्हणाले हे चित्र छान आहे. तर सांग ,केवळ कॅनवास आणि नुसते रंग सांडले आहेत,अर्थ शून्य आहे हि कलाकृती एखादे शेंबडे पोर देखील चांगले चित्र काढेल.

कुणी म्हणाले हा माणूस खरोखर समाजसेवा करतो,  तर तू तावातावाणे म्हण, ठासून सांग, निस्वार्थी कसला हा पक्का भ्रष्ट आहे, चोर आहे.

तू सतत नकार देत रहा, पुरावे मागत रहा, बेधडक टीका करत रहा.कोणी प्रश्न केला तर तू उलट प्रश्न कर तू उत्तर् दिलस तर दोष काढले जातील,प्रश्नाला उत्तर् न देता तूच उलटा प्रश्न करत जा. प्रत्येक शब्दाचे, प्रत्येक वाक्याचे explanation  माग. समोरच्या माणसाला भंडावून सोड,

आठवडाभरात लोकांना वाटायला लागले हा माणूस प्रतिभावान आहे, हुशार आहे, आपण चुकीच समजत होतो त्याला .कोणतेही चित्र दाखवा तो लगेच दोष दाखवतो, ग्रंथ दाखवा त्रुटी दाखवतो त्याचापाशी टीकाकारची बुद्धि आहे.त्याच्या समोर यायला लोक घाबरायला लागली. कोणी प्रश्न विचारयला धजेना.

आता परिस्थिती बदलली, जो सतत घाबरलेला असायचा त्यालाच लोक घाबरु लागले कुठल्याही निषेधात्मक गोष्टीवर चटकन विश्वास बसतो.नकारात्मक गोष्ट असिद्ध करणे कठीण असते.जेथे गुण दिसेल तेथे निषेध करू शकता.

तो बुद्धीवान माणूस महिन्या नंतर परत आला.तो म्हणाला छान असेच चालू ठेव. आता हा नवशहाणा त्या बुद्धीवान माणसाला म्हणतो, तुम्ही खरोखर मूर्ख आहात,मला उपदेश करू नका.

आता ह्या नवप्रतिभावान माणसाने ज्याला आपण आधी हुशार, बुद्धीवान, धूर्त समजत होतो, त्यालाच मूर्ख म्हटले, म्हणजे तो पूर्वीचा बुद्धीवान हा मूर्खच असला पाहिजे, असा गावातल्या लोकांचा समज झाला .गुरुची विद्या गुरुला भारी.

हि शॉर्ट स्टोरी आहे एका जुन्या जमान्यातील रशियन लेखकाची टेर्जीनीव्ह.
आजच्या समाज जीवनाचे प्रतिबीब मला त्यात दिसते.

कथेच नाव फ़ूल (मुर्ख) ,त्यात थोडासा बदल करून सागितली .
